Found a little visual bug. After returning to Kheros in 0.9, when entering the sparring grounds, I could briefly see Sindarion on the right side before he vanished. I think this is because he was able to learn a new skill, so he should be there. But this was also the time that Lisgea and Ariadne had learned their fire arrow. And that event overwrites the default events that could go on the sparring room, but it seemingly takes a bit before the event processing realizes that it shouldn't show sindarion there yet. Would attach a save, but I don't know if that's possible here.

DeleteAnd I found another bug, while recreating that other visual bug. During the event where Sindarion and Lisgea spar with each other, if you quickly press the space or enter key while finishing the event, it will trigger the event to "talk" to the training dummy, but if you then click "no", you're hardlocked and your character can't move anymore.
ReplyDeleteMy guess is that because the player character is located on the star that activates the dummy, spamming the space key too fast somehow activates the dummy event, before the Sindarion and Lisgea event is finished and thus the S&L event doesn't reach the point where it's supposed to return control of the player character back to the player.
I could recreate this bug two times in a row.
Have you thought about making a discord for this game? Given how complex it already is, it would be nice to have a place to talk about the game with other players. Could also add another patreon incentive in the form of patreon roles. And it would make it possible to report bugs more thoroughly, since you can upload screenshot and saves on discord.
ReplyDeleteI've given it some thought. My main concern is how easily I could become distracted if I was engaging on it myself, since I know I can be quite easily distracted when talking about things I'm passionate about. I had been hoping to find a few people I could trust to moderate it before doing so. I do see the advantages, though, so will consider.
